Privacy notice · Updated 11 October 2026
The short version: we only use what you send us to reply to you, and to run your project if we work together. We never sell it, and we don't track you around the web.
01 · Who we are
Ruche Studio is Iggy Vermaak and Karlien, a two-person design and development studio in South Africa. We are the responsible party for your personal information under POPIA. Iggy is our information officer. Write to hello@ruche.studio about anything on this page.
02 · What we collect
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
03 · Why, and where it's kept
We use your details to reply, and to run the project if you become a client. We don't add you to a mailing list without asking.
Enquiries are stored in our database at Supabase. The site runs on Cloudflare, which also checks that a real person sent the form, and alert emails go through Resend. Some of these providers keep data outside South Africa, under agreements that protect it to the same standard.
04 · How long, and your rights
If an enquiry doesn't become a project, we delete it within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as the law asks, for example for tax.
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@ruche.studio. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator ↗.
